OUR STORY

LasheddByDez was created by co-owners Michael and Desiree in 2023, shortly following the birth of our first daughter. Driven by a passion for providing exceptional beauty services and a deep desire to create a custom luxury experience that truly caters to the client. The idea for the business was born after Desiree, our founder and artist, had a negative experience having her lashes done during a holiday weekend. Instead of feeling cared for, Desiree’s service felt impersonal and hurried as if she was just another number, rather than a valued client. That moment sparked a vision. Desiree’s ability to see the silver lining inspired her to transform her underwhelming service into a mission to learn and master the art herself. Determined to change the narrative, Desiree embraced this opportunity to bring the care and attention she felt was missing to the beauty industry. This journey began small, on the Main Line in Paoli, where Desiree shared a beauty room with another artist, but always had a bigger dream in mind.

In the middle of a struggling economy, we made a significant sacrifice and moved to South Philly, a city with a larger population, to broaden our clientele and rebrand our business from scratch again! With Michael and Desiree as the heart and soul of LasheddByDez, we designed and built a brand-new private beauty suite, with a fresh perspective determined to thrive in a new city. For us, LasheddByDez is more than just a beauty business—it’s a reflection of who we are. Family is at the heart of everything we do, and we want our clients to be an extension of that. We are motivated and take great pride in offering a space where all of our clients who walk through our doors, become part of the LasheddByDez family and value the vibe and experience just as much as the services themselves. At LasheddByDez, it’s not just about the results, but about also creating a safe, welcoming environment where clients can relax, listen to their favorite music, watch their favorite shows or vent like they would in a therapy session. Whichever you prefer, LasheddByDez is built around the client.

Another driving force is our dedication to educate our clients on how to properly care for their lashes and nails. Unlike most salons, Desiree prioritizes the health of her client’s natural nails and lashes over quick, temporary results. Most places will push clients in and out, focusing only on the look. Where LasheddByDez stands out from the rest, is the practice of making sure each service enhances beauty while at the same time maintaining natural nail and lash health. Desiree’s approach is always honest—setting realistic expectations so clients know what to expect from each service. And if, for any reason, a client is not completely satisfied, we are 100% committed to offering more-than-reasonable solutions to ensure everyone leaves satisfied and confident.
